Spunagain's MG ZT260 Pages

Spunagain's ZT260 pages are under construction.

This page is made up of my own experiences and cullings from the Xpower forums

  Front Tyre Hopping

This sounds a bit dramatic but it's just one of those features that add to the character of the car!

After about 5000 miles my 260 has not really wanted to turn very tight corners (parking) and almost hops on full lock. Sometimes it feels like the rear wheels are trying to push it straight ahead and if the surface is loose or slippery it feels like it jumps a bit. This is normal and tends to happen more with the OE Continental Sport Pilot tyres.

The slow speed hopping is just down to suspension geometry on the front end, as opposed to the diff.  The front suspension has a lot of caster (required for self centring with the heavy engine) and the front suspension tends to go over centre on full lock hence the hopping feeling.
